Our Care
At Nutley Lodge, we provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to the individual needs of each resident. Our approach is built on dignity, respect, and creating a safe, supportive home environment.
Our Services
We provide 24-hour residential care with access to nursing support where needed, ensuring residents’ needs are met across personal care, nutrition and hydration, mobility, medication management, continence, and end-of-life support.
Care is delivered in a person-centred and outcome-focused manner, with each resident having an individualised support plan developed in consultation with them, their families, and commissioning authorities. These plans are reviewed regularly and updated to reflect changing needs, ensuring continuity of care and positive outcomes.
We are experienced in supporting residents with a wide range of conditions, including dementia, frailty, long-term health conditions such as diabetes, sensory impairments, and mental health needs. We work closely with health partners, including GPs, district nurses, and hospital discharge teams, as well as social workers and commissioners from Plymouth and Devon, to ensure a joined-up approach.
Our track record also includes providing safe and effective transitions from hospital to long-term care, helping reduce hospital readmissions, and supporting system resilience.
Care Quality Commision (CQC)
Nutley Lodge is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our most recent inspection report is available to view below.
The management team at Nutley Lodge were naturally disappointed by the outcome of our most recent CQC inspection. However, we have fully accepted the findings and embraced the recommendations made by the inspectorate. Since the inspection, we have taken significant and meaningful steps to strengthen our leadership, processes, and day-to-day care delivery. These improvements are already having a positive impact on the experience of our residents and their families, and we remain fully committed to continuous improvement. We look forward to the next opportunity to demonstrate the progress we have made and the high standards of care we expect to deliver at Nutley Lodge.
