About Nutley Lodge
Nutley Lodge is a warm and welcoming care home, proudly serving the Plymstock community. We are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care in a safe and supportive environment.

Our History
Nutley Lodge Care Home has been operating as a family-owned and managed residential care home since 1984, providing over forty years of continuous service to older adults in the South West.
We are experienced in supporting residents with a wide range of conditions, including dementia, frailty, long-term health conditions such as diabetes, sensory impairments, and mental health needs. We work closely with health partners, including GPs, district nurses, and hospital discharge teams, as well as social workers and commissioners from Plymouth and Devon, to ensure a joined-up approach.
Our track record also includes providing safe and effective transitions from hospital to long-term care, helping reduce hospital readmissions, and supporting system resilience. Our longevity and stability in the sector underscore our ability to meet the requirements of a formal framework contract.
Since opening in 1984, we have consistently invested in our workforce, facilities, and governance systems to ensure our care remains compliant, responsive, and person-centred. Staff receive mandatory and specialist training, are supported through supervision and appraisal, and uphold the values of dignity, respect, and independence for every resident.

Testimonials

Mum has been a resident here for a number of years and has always been treated with kindness, respect and a big smile. The hardworking staff go the extra mile to make sure residents feel at home.

I can honestly say the staff are always friendly, they greet you with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble the manager is approachable and leads by example. Residents here are treated with kindness and respect. My mother is very happy.

We often get pictures of things the residents are doing, which is great to see. I know Mum is safe, secure and very well looked after. If I need to go in to a home, it's where I would like to go, mind you would they have me!
